Gauntletz #1 |
To the north, hidden behind the cratez, is a Question Mark Switch (QMS) with a Coin (#5) on it. This will give you safe passage through the Red (RP) and Green (GP) Pyramidz area. Pick up another Coin (#6) along the way and step on the Black One-Time Switch (BOTS). That lowerz four Black Pyramidz (BP). Pick up the Roidz powerup and turn the enemy grunt into a (useless) Goo Puddle . Useless unless you enjoy being squashed by Rolling Rockz (RR). Avoiding the RRz , go south and find a Coin (#7) hidden within the Observatory. Turn west and hit the two Blue Toggle Switchez (BTS) raising Switchable Bridge Tilez (SBT) across the water. Walk two stepz down the east side of the bridge attracting an enemy Grunt. Turn him into a (useable!) Goo Puddle . Walk back northeast and find a Keg of Zap Cola behind the upper storage tanks. Pick up the Sword (Tool #2). |

GooberStraw #1 & GunHat #2 |
Suck up the three Goo Puddlez you can easily reach. GooberStraw enterz the RR area, but have him side-step around the center and exit turning northwest. Position GooberStraw just north of the Silver Timer Switch (STS), then click on the crater just south of the BOTS within the Construction Pyramidz (CP). (This activatez the STS and placez him right where you need him once the Gunhat Grunt #2 clearz the CPz . Select GunHat #2 and walk him out of the area to the STS . Select GooberStraw #1 and step on the BOTS and get out quickly. Select GunHat #2 and have him turn the enemy Grunt standing on the Green Hold Switch (GHS) to the south into a Goo Puddle , lowering the GPz . GooberStraw #1 suckz up the Pink Goo , filling the Goo Well, and a new Grunt #5 is baked , entered into the game on the GruntCreationPoint and sent to put on the Gauntletz (Tool #4). Don�t forget the two Coinz ( #14 & #15) behind the tankz to the south. GunHat #2 movez down near the Purple Pyramidz (PP), and takez two stepz into the Spikez path, and shootz the enemy Grunt to the southeast, then getz off those Spikez !. When recharged, shoot him again, leaving a Goo Puddle . Then go back up and pop a pill and go berserk against the eight enemy Gruntz toward the north and east! (Hint: kill the Goo Sucker first or he�ll start sucking up the goo that you need.) When the Rockz Grunt is turned into Goo, three PPz will be lowered , so GooberStraw #1, a Wingz Grunt and Gauntletz #5 can move east. GooberStraw #1 movez north and cleanz up the mess his buddy made, filling the Goo Well twice more. Bare-Handed Gruntz #6 and #7 enter the game. |

GooberStraw #1 & Wingz #2 & Gauntletz #5 |
The three proceed to their CheckPoint Switchez (CPS) to the east. The CheckPoint Pyramidz (CPP) go down , and Wingz goes first and walkz northeast and flies over the gap to the island with the hovering UFO. He goez to the center, pickz up a Shovel (Tool #6) and becomez Shovel #2. Avoiding the UFO and the enemy Gruntz, he fillz in Holez , digz up the Moundz and getz two more Coinz ( #16 & #17) and pressez the BTS (an odd number of timez!). He circlez around and pickz up the Megaphone (Megaphone #1) and a Go-Kart is cranked out. He walkz across the now revealed bridge and digz up a Mound revealing a spyglass (Tool #7) and sinking the RR . If Gunhat #2 couldn't take the pain of Spikez , there is an enemy Grunt to the south, capable of laying a big hurt on your Gruntz. In that case, the Go-Kart (Toy #1) goez to either GooberStraw Grunt #1 or Gauntletz Grunt #5, who crossez the bridge to the south of the CheckPoint and givez the Go-Kart to the enemy Grunt and pickz up two more Coinz (#18 & #19) behind the tankz. If there is a Goo Puddle there, give the Go-Kart (Toy #1) to Shovel #2. GooberStraw Grunt #1 gets the Spyglass (Tool #7) and becomez Spy #1, and determinez the true nature of all of the Brickz for Gauntletz Grunt #5. Gauntletz Grunt #5 breakz the Brown Brickz and stepz on the BOTS allowing Shovel Grunt #2 through to dig up the other Mound and sink the other RR . Spyglass #1 goes back north and standz on the GHS . His job is done for now. |

Shovel #2 & Gauntletz #5 |
Shovel Grunt #2 goez south past the lowered GPz and continuez south to the Orange Pyramid (OP) maze and waitz for Gauntletz Grunt #5. Gauntletz Grunt #5 goez south past the lowered GPz and goes east into the satellite/tankz area. The satellite/tankz area concealz two enemy Gruntz. Be careful not to attract them too soon! Gauntletz Grunt #5 stayz near the western wall and goez north to find two Coinz (#20 & #21) along the northern wall. Don�t step on the BOTS or you�ll be trapped! Start walking south from the lowered black pyramid until you attract the attention of the bomber grunt. Get out of his way and let him trigger the BOTS . Go to the southwestern end of the diagonal row of tankz and start walking up between them attracting the other bomber grunt. He will come down at an angle and run through the black pyramidz and trigger the other BOTS allowing Gauntletz Grunt #5 access to the OPz . There are two more Coinz (#22 & #23) hidden in the area. Look around and find them. Then go to the OPz and break the Rock Crystal , revealing an Orange Up/Down Switch (OUDS) with a Coin (#24) on it. That lowerz a string of OPz in front of Shovel #2, allowing him to reach a Mound and dig it up, revealing an OUDS with a Coin (#25) on it. Working together, help each other navigate the OPz picking up six more Coinz (#26 through #31) in the process. Gauntletz Grunt #5 goes to the stairz of the next area and is transported to the northeastern corner of the map where he breakz Rock Crystalz and collectz seven Coinz (#32 through #38). He goez through the return Red Warp (RW) and navigatez the Lava Geyser Spikez area picking up three Coinz (#39 through #41) and waitz by the STS . |

Shovel #2 (working alone) |
Shovel Grunt #2 crossez the Toggling Bridge (TB) to the northern island, (perhapz) has to kill the enemy Grunt and collectz three Coinz (#42 through #44) and a Can of Zap Cola . Timing is key on the next two islandz. SAVE! Keep trying, it can be done. He crossez the TB to the southeast island and stepz on an Arrow , avoidz the Lava Geyser by stepping on another Arrow , getz stuck between two Arrowz and getz shot off the arrowz by the enemy Grunt and pickz up the Coin (#45) and divez through the Blue Wormhole (BW). Repeat on the other island to get a Coin (#46) and end up back where you started. Head south and find a Coin (#47) behind the observatory, then head west around the pool and north toward the area with Holez in it. Eliminate whatever remainz of the (originally) three enemy Gruntz (possibly with the help of the enemy Grunt in the pool) and head up the western edge of the area to the northwest corner and find a Scroll (Toy #2). Bring back2life at least 3 Goo Puddlez (Bare-Handed #8, #9 and #?) in the area. Finish off (again!) any enemy Gruntz. The three new Bare-handed Gruntz go to the south and onto the three PMGSz . Shovel Grunt #2 headz south to the RRz area. Navigate the RRz and Lava Geyserz around the OPz area, picking up a Coin (#48) along the way and arrive at the arrowz at the southwest corner. The two Gruntz up on the platformz are yours so use them to shoot Shovel Grunt #2 from one arrow track to the next and get him to the end in one piece where he digz up two Moundz and findz two Coinz (#49 & #50). Go through the BW . He landz on the Magic Wand (Tool #8). He releasez four ballz and activatez the QMS and exitz the OPz . He goez south and getz the Coin (#51) hidden behind the observatory. He then goez back north and into the RP /GP /BP maze and getz three more Coinz (#52, #53 & #54) then into the BW and back to his Lava Geyserz and Spikez area. He walkz east to get a Keg of Zap Cola hidden behind the tankz. He then proceedz to the stairz and goez through the Lava Geyser spike field picking up three Coinz (#55, #56 & #57). Then joinz Gauntletz Grunt #5. |

Magic Wand #2 & Gauntletz #5 |
SAVE! The next part is tricky. Gauntletz Grunt #5 and Magic Wand #2 need to trade placez. Moving them one at a time, you can get one to switch but not both. At first glance it lookz impossible but thankz to a unique Gruntz game engine attribute (also known as 'bug'), we can do it. Here�z how: Position both gruntz an equal distance to the west and east of their respective STSez . Now select them both and start clicking repeatedly on one of the yellow crossez. When both gruntz are on the crossez they will walk right through each other and can trade placez. After they cross, though, you will have to select each grunt and move him off the SP before it comez back up . Again, timing is key. |

Magic Wand #2 | After they have traded placez, he enterz the area with the UFOz and findz a Coin (#58) behind the western satellite. He avoidz the UFO�z and standz in the center in line with the two arrowz pointing north . He releasez four RRz and getz out of the way. After the GPz are lowered , he goez back north avoiding the UFO�z and goez behind the eastern satellite and getz a Keg of Zap Cola . Then he goez to the southwest and findz a Megaphone (Megaphone #2) behind the tankz and callz for some Gauntletz . Now he waitz (patiently?) near the GPz for his buddy to catch up. |

Gauntletz #5 | After they have traded placez, he goez south past the three setz of four RRz and into the next area with Arrowz and RRz . Notice that they move rather quickly ... and that there is one interval larger than the otherz. Avoiding the ballz, get the two Coinz ( #59 & #60) in the upper part of the area. Walk south and break the Rock Crystalz and get the Coin (#61) and step on the Yellow Toggle Switch (YTS) and let one RR go across the bridge , then step on the YTS again. That RR will begin toggling the bridge so you can eliminate two of the remaining three RRz , by "doing the Cha-Cha" on the YTS . The idea is to have one RR on each side of the GPz area. That done, continue south to get another Coin (#61) and through the BW . You are transported to the top of the GPz area. Navigate through the GPz being aware of the toggling bridge and pick up seven Coinz (#63 through #69). Exit the maze and go west and break the Rock Crystal revealing some Springz. Now, decisionz, decisionz. Do you step on the CPS or pick up the springz? Let�s resist temptation. Pick up the Springz (Tool #9) and become Springz #5. Jump through the Lava Geyserz to the first landing and pick up a Coin (#70). Continue on to the second outcropping and get another Coin (#71). Hmmm, can�t seem to get that Warp letter . Continue out of the maze and head northeast to find a Coin (#72) hidden behind the observatory, then across the Arrow and onto the BTS . By now, there should be Gauntletz (Tool #10) available from the GruntzMachine. Happier now, back to being Gauntletz Grunt #5 ... and nimbler. The next area is a super highway of RRz and Lava Geyserz . Each of the four observatoriez in the center contain Coinz (#73 through #76). Cross the highway and head north and cross the Arrow south of the GPz . |

Magic Wand #2 & Gauntletz #5 |
Gauntletz #5 breakz the Giant Rock Crystal revealing a Coin (#77) and a YTS . Gauntletz Grunt #5 leadz and standz on the GHS . Magic Wand #2 standz on theYellow Hold Switch (YHS). Once the RR roundz the southwestern corner of its track move Magic Wand #2 from the YHS to the BHS so the ball makez it safely to the island. Then Gauntletz Grunt #5 goez half way across the switchable bridge , waitz, goez the rest of the way across and then headz south to the RRz and Lava Geyserz area. Avoiding RRz and Lava Geyserz , Gauntletz Grunt #5 makez his way to the western end of the area, breaking Rock Crystalz, activating three BOTSz and getting six Coinz (#78 through #83) along the way. Once at the end Gauntletz Grunt #5 breakz the Rock Crystal and revealz a Coin (#84). He usez the Megaphone (Megaphone #3) under the Observatory to call for some Wingz . Under the satellite to the south is another Megaphone (Megaphone #4) for more Wingz . Magic Wand #2 takez a set of Wingz (Tool #11) from the GruntzMachine. |

Wingz #2 fliez to the island to the north and getz three Coinz (#85 through #87) then to the other island and getz two more Coinz (#88 & #89) and then to the mainland and down south to the eastern most STS . Wingz #2 and Gauntletz #5 flip a coin to see who goez first. Timing the ballz right, step on the STS and get the Coin (#90) on the lowered SP then get back across to the STS . Wingz #2 fliez to the next STS and repeatz the success for Coin (#91). A bit wing-weary, he takez a new set of Wingz (Tool #12) from the GruntzMachine. Wingz #2 fliez to the next STS and repeatz the success for Coin (#92). On the last STS , there�s a YHS . Stand on it until the RR on the island rollz off into space activating the BOTS giving you passage to the next area. Activate the last STS and get the Coin (#93), only this time don�t go back, but join Gauntletz Grunt #5 by walking through the gully. Both Gauntletz Grunt #5 and Wingz #2 head north to the Holez and Spikez area. Wingz #2 goez behind the cratez and pickz up a Shovel (Tool #13). |

Shovel Grunt #2 digz up the Mound there to get a Coin (#94). Shovel Grunt #2 then goez into the Holez and Spikez area filling in the Holez and gulping Zap Cola along the way. (Be sure to leave one bottle for Gauntletz Grunt #5 or he won�t make it through). He reachez the Keg of Zap Cola at the end and digz up a Coin (#95). Gauntletz Grunt #5 then followz shovel�s path and enterz the next area and goez north and getz two Coinz ( #96 & #97) behind the cratez, then goez south. Behind the cratez there�s a Rock Crystal with some Zap Cola on it that Gauntletz can use. Shovel Grunt #2 goez into the next area first.
At the end Shovel Grunt #2 enterz the next area across the BOTS releasing two enemy Gruntz. Give the Go-Kart to one of them, turn the other into Goo , and get the two Coinz ( #108 & #109) in the cornerz behind the obseratoriez. Head to the southwest corner of the area and fill in two Holez , dig up the two Moundz and get two Coinz ( #110 & #111). Shovel Grunt #2 is done for the time being, but it would be wise for him to spend the time turning dangerous Holez into safe Moundz . |

Gauntletz #5 | He comez down to activate the two YTSz and releasez the two RRz . Time the two RRz so that the OPz toggle evenly so he can navigate through. He comez down the alley and breakz a Rock Crystal and getz a Coin (#112) atop a BOTS . (Hint: Instead of going to the next Rock Crystal to the east, pass straight through the OPz and break the Rock Crystal under the observatory at the north end of the southeast alley. You will thank yourself later.) Go to the next Rock Crystal , break it and pick up the Shovel (Tool #14). |

Springz #5 | He takez the Yo-yo (Toy #3) from the GruntzMachine, stepz on the STS and followz the lowered SPz to a BOTS , and continuez to arrive at the Landing Dock of the giant Rock Crystalz area. Take the Yo-yo and put it in the path of the enemy Grunt and attract him to run north. After he playz with his toy, attract him to run east and blow up the giant Rock Crystalz and allow you access to the next area. In the south east corner of the giant Rock Crystal area are two (mutual) enemy Gruntz. Jump across the Holez and attract the eastern most enemy Grunt and quickly jump out and the two enemiez will fight each other and your battle will be mostly won. (For some reason, the purple Grunt usually winz.) Once one of the enemiez is dead jump back in, finish off the remaining enemy Grunt and get the Coin (#118). Come back out and get some Zap Cola revealed by the suicidal enemy Grunt. Watch out for the enemy Grunt! Navigate the spiky area and pick up eight Coinz (#119 through #126). Exit the spiky area and head west and jump to the island and get a Coin (#127) and step on the BOTS . Jump back and head east and step on the YTS (releasing a slow moving RR ) and the QMS and follow the revealed GPz as they are lowered to the other side. Once there, head east and get the Coin (#128) behind the observatory. Now go west and down the peninsula to get a Coin (#129) behind the observatory. Now you can either:
Cross the toggling bridge to the west and pick up the Warp letter hidden within the Observatory. Within the next Observatory are some Time-Bombz (Tool #18). |

Cross to rejoin Shovel Grunt #2. Blow up some of the Brickz and go to the opposite side and do the same. Shovel Grunt #2 goez and standz on the BHS to the east. TimeBombz #5 goez west and followz the path around and stepz on the BTS behind the spaceship, the and one behind the cratez, and standz on the BHS behind the satellitez to allow Shovel Grunt #2 to go north and on to the next area. TimeBombz #5 joinz Shovel Grunt #2. Shovel #2 fillz in the Hole under the observatory, perhapz digz up the Mound (revealing an Arrow ) and goez in and attractz the enemy Grunt and getz him to follow up and around where the PMGSz are. Shovel Grunt #2 goez to the southern PMGSz and the enemy Grunt is stranded on the northern PMGS . TimeBombz #5 comez through and getz the Coin (#133) behind the Observatory. He blowz up the Rock Crystal and passez the lowered PP and goez to the RR , giant Rock Crystal area. At the end of the corridor behind the satellite there�s a Warp letter .
Once the RR is past the TWA , quickly go north and past the SPz . Under the next Observatory is a Coin (#134) atop a QMS . TimeBombz #5 goez north and standz on the BHS under the Observatory and allowz Shovel Grunt #2 to proceed to the entrance to UFO Alley. There are nine Coinz (#135 through #143) hidden in this area. Find and collect them and make your way to the next area. Here we have a sea of SBTz and some YTSez and to the west a bunch of BTSez that probably will raise some of those SBTz . But which onez do we toggle? We can try trial and error but that might take a while. An easier way is to look beneath your feet. Ancient alienz left us some cluez to follow. Notice the pattern of craterz is the same in both areaz. The contrasting tilez in the switch area map out which YTSez to activate based on their proximity to the craterz, to create a continuous bridge across to the other side. Once the bridge is created and one grunt has crossed, be sure to have the other grunt follow in the exact footstepz of the first or the bridge will come apart. Once both gruntz are across, there�s a Coin (#144) to the east under the satellite. Shovel Grunt #2 goez to his CPS ... nothing happenz! Time-bombz #5 goez to the Landing Dock and usez the Megaphone (Megaphone #6), which (fortunately) callz for a Toob (Tool#19). |

Enter at the Arrow directly south of the southernmost SP , a 'beat' delay. At each lowered SP , a 'beat' delay before stepping onto the next Arrow. It�s all in the timing as you work your way through the arrow maze and out the other end and through the BW . Shovel Grunt #2 landz in an area surrounded by Holez . Bare-Handed Grunt #5 landz on some Gauntletz (Tool#20) in an area surrounded by Rock Crystalz. |

Gauntletz Grunt #5 goez south toward the enemy Grunt inside the Rock Crystal barrier and standz directly in front of him. He will break the mismatched Rock Crystal and step forward, ready to attack. Now you have Gauntletz and SpongeGun together on one side of the SP maze, with a STS within reach. Gauntletz Grunt #5 goez into the SP maze. There, he collectz six Coinz ( #147, #148, #149, #150, #151 & #152). Exitz, crossez an Arrow and a Crumbling Bridge Tile to stand on a GHS . Six GPz are lowered , three on each side of the SPz maze, allowing his buddiez Shovel #2 and SpongeGun #4 to move south toward the central Construction Pyramid . Decision time! Do you:

Gauntletz Grunt #5 | He then breakz a Rock Crystal and goez east through the space trash tunnel and through the BW . This lookz familiar. (He had Springz the last time he was here.) He goez west and collectz the Warp letter . Then he continuez west to the Giant Rock Crystal area collecting eight Coinz ( #157, #158, #159, #160, #161, #162, #163 & #164) and a JumpRope (Toy #4). In order to collect the last two Coinz, he attractz the enemy Grunt, (perhapz givez him the toy) and stepz on the QMS . Finally, go stand on the marked tile near the entrance. While he waitz there, the rest of the Gruntz will be busy. |

Shovel Grunt #2 & SpongeGun #3 & SpongeGun #4 |
There are six enemy Gruntz just standing around ... so move them! SpongeGun Grunt #3 (and/or SpongeGun Grunt #4) shoot the enemy Gruntz onto the Arrowz ( or ) and strange thingz happen! Shovel Grunt #2 digz up four Moundz in the area revealing four CPSz requiring four different Toyz . Handily, six more teammatez show up (most of them Bare-Handed ). All of the Bare-Handed Gruntz go get Toyz , and most of them can take them to the correct CPSz. (One Grunt can't find his CPS .) Perhapz that Grunt takez an unclaimed tool (Tool #21) from the GruntzMachine, and searchez for something he can break. SpongeGun Grunt #3 (or SpongeGun Grunt #4) comez down and shootz one more enemy Grunt onto an Arrow and ... it's magic! Gauntletz Grunt(z) break Rock Crystalz, revealing more CPSz requiring more different itemz . Yep! We have all of those thingz! Shovel Grunt #2 digz up his own CPS . Gauntletz Grunt #5 collectz one last Coin (#165) under the observatory. With everyone standing on their CPSez, some CPPz are lowered .
