Walkthrough by Oldone


Some advice before you begin. As I was playing, I realized how inconvenient it was to have the switchez all in one place. So be sure to number your gruntz. You’ll save time and temper with the ctrl# method of switching back and forth. Also, it’s best to wait to take Zap Cola until you know who needs it! You can always get back to the cola from anywhere on the level, although it can be a bit of an effort! I think there’s plenty laying around though, so if you’re in the green, leave it for someone who needs it.

 

          Begin with the grunt in the NW corner of the level, #1. You best move quickly because there’s a crazy guy with a rock coming after you. You need him to focus on the thief over by the little pool. And when that’s finished, get the attention of the remaining Gauntletz grunt in the ravine. With any luck, the Rockz and Gauntletz will fight it out with only the Rockz remaining. Have your buddy below the Meer (#2) get the megaphone and call for a Goober straw. Finish off the Rockz (or Gauntletz, but hopefully not) and suck up all four goo puddlez. Bake a new grunt and drop him into the Museum of Switchez. You need him (and later some friendz) to operate all the switchez in the level.

 

          Head across the ravine to the arrowz and step on the one above the . You wind up in the Gardenz where it looks like someone has been planting. They left their shovel, so pick it up but be careful. . .there are a lot of nutz out there. Dig the six z and pick up the goodiez, but leave the Zap Cola for now if you don’t need it. However, if you weren’t very careful, you probably will need it. Step on the north-pointing arrow and join your friend below the Meer. Do what you do best. With the help of your friend in the Museum, go back through the arrowz to the . Fill the and dig it up again to reveal something for your bare-handed friend. Take a deep breath while you SAVE and go over to the Boomerangz. (You can do this without losing any health. . .sometimes.) Get rid of him (maybe by squashing if you’re lucky) and dig up the .

 

          Back to the beginning (your friend in the Museum helps again), this time going south and west to the end of the ravine. There’s a between the ravine and the Pool. Then go to where the crazy Rockz grunt started (below the Giant Rock). Meanwhile, #2 picks up the gauntletz and heads through the ravine breaking everything in sight. When everything is done that can be done, Gauntletz has one more chore at the top of the arrow maze. So back you go, and when that’s finished, you can go through the maze and out to the south beside the Reservoir. Hold your shovel grunt in the ravine for now. When Gauntletz has broken the first , send Shovel down to join him. Gauntletz breakz the second and approachez the Tool Thief, and beginz fighting to get it back, while Shovel comez up to help Gauntletz get rid of the thief. SAVE. (From now on, I will assume that you will remember to have your friend in the Museum help with the proper switchez.)

 

          Both of you go through the (Gauntletz all the way, and Shovel takez the Stairway to the , where (hopefully) he can turn an enemy Toobz Grunt (or two) into Goo Puddlez, which a friendly Grunt with a Goober straw may suck up later). Gauntletz can break a (or four) and wait while your buddy, #3, gets the toobz and goes back partially through the silver pyramidz to the landing of the Reservoir. The guys left in the lake don’t want you to come in, so you’ll have to fight them. Whatever you do, don’t get caught on the Tilez splashing up and down in the water, or lure the enemy Gruntz where they may get caught on them. They’re dangerous! You’ll find plenty of Zap Cola scattered around, and some Coinz on the east side. There’s no need to go to the landing in the north at this time.

 

          Go back through the and all three of you can now continue. Oh no! Look what that guy has done to the Great Lawn. He’s dug z and put in z. Well, at least we can get rid of the z. (Don’t dig the below the Digger grunt yet. You can get to that one when you’ve gotten rid of all the thievez in the area.)

 

          That said, get rid of all the thievez in the area. They won't bother a Bare-handed Grunt. Do you have one on your team? If so, send him down to use that Megaphone you can (barely) see by the Palm tree. The item called for will come in handy in ridding the area of Tool Thievez ... if you are careful. If all of your team memberz have Toolz, let them take the Toobz, then give ‘em the ol’ #1/#2 punch (gang up on him with all of your Gruntz). Now’s a good time to re-dig the holez in the spikez, refresh yourselves as needed and let Toobz pick up the Goober straw. Suck up all of the Goo Puddlez, so that the 'makingz' for additional Gruntz may be baked into more friendz. Now fill/dig the below the Digger and watch out! After turning him to goo, bake a new grunt and (if you haven't done so already) find the next megaphone. Give the tool to one of the bare-handedz and get rid of that Clubz Grunt over by the Museum. Someone will need to get the Springz from the GruntMachine resourcez. (Gauntletz would be a good choice). Springz (or a Grunt in good health) makez his way to step on the and join the others in the Museum. Shovelz will lose a little health, but dig those holez where the Clubz was.

 

          Shovelz needs to go around the lake, look for some arrowz and step on them.
When you’re through, come back to the .
You and Gooberz need to go through them and get rid of a couple more thievez. (Avoid the Swordz for now. You can get the megaphone when you’ve baked another grunt and Shovelz has the warpstone in tow.) Shovelz digs all holez and notices that arrow pointing nowhere. Maybe you should check it out. Now that that’s all done ( and be sure to get it all), ensure that Gooberz is healthy enough to take a whack from the Swordz, and get that megaphone. Then RUN! Shovelz gets the warpstone on the other side of the pyramidz, comes back and joins Gooberz on the with the Toy.

 

          Everyone hit one of the six assigned to you. Oh yeah, then the four , and then take the warpstone to the king.
